A few years ago I was introduced to street food in Minneapolis. At the time, the only place in Minneapolis to get street food was at farmers markets and festivals around town. It didn’t take me long to fall in love with the idea of street food. As someone who is a huge proponent of community, of getting to know your neighbors, and of great food in general, I love the idea of street food. It’s not only a quick and easy way to get a meal, but you are outdoors and standing in line with other hungry souls. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors. The lack of options was disheartening, but I had hope.
Today Minneapolis has a vibrant street food scene. With over forty trucks registered on this site and many more in the works, hardly a day goes by from March till December without a truck on the streets. Though most of the trucks have a fairly consistent schedule, it still can be tough to track them down. MSP Street Food is an attempt to track the trucks help you find the meal you want to eat today.
